In this scene, we can tell by the characters costume and makeup, that he is not someone you see everyday. His hair covers half of his face which makes him look suspicious and sinister. It is also colored black like the make-up put around his eyes, showing he is dark and maybe a little abnormal. The characters facial expression is set as a snarl, this suggests he dislikes the character in his eye line, in this instance, Scott Pilgrim. The lighting on the characters face is quite bright, and the lighting around him is dark, showing he is of some significance to the this scene, but this is quite strange as we would assume the lighting would be dark on his face adding to his facial expression and overall appearance.
